What types of input can a Data Source be?

Data Sources can have many different types of input. Directory Manager can import data from many systems including;

• ESR – This is the Electronic Staff Record), a HR management system
• CSV – Any system that can export a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file or manually created CSV files
• Portal – There is the capability to manually add or amend individual records in the Directory Manager Web Portal
• Excel – Microsoft Excel needs to be installed on the DM App Server so it can read the files. Can be either XLS or XLSX format
• Databases – Directory Manager can connect to another database to pull data if it has permission to do so
