On Saturday 12th October, two members of our team bravely took on the Royal Marines Commando Challenge for charity at Bicton Arena on Woodbury Common.
Lee Ballinger and Dave Stacey took on the gruelling 10k course which included crawling through a variety of challenging tunnels and pipes, wading through pools and going through an underwater culvert. The aptly named ‘BDS Solutions’ team also crossed moorland and woodland on Woodbury Common, near Exmouth.
The renowned wet and muddy challenge allowed participants to tackle the Royal Marines’ own endurance training course, pushing their limits and courage.
Lee and Dave completed the challenge in an impressive 1 hour 27 minutes and raised over £300 for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and The Royal Marines Charity.
Lee said: “We had brilliant fun taking on this mighty challenge and raising over £300 for two important local charities is very rewarding. A big thank you to everyone who supported us.”
